Deborah Catton pursues an interdisciplinary art practice that involves photography, painting, drawing, collage, and fiber sculpture. She holds a BFA (double major) in Photography and Drawing from the University of Calgary. To date she has furthered her studies with five residencies, four have been International in Iceland, France, two in Spain and one in Ottawa, Canada.  She has exhibited throughout Canada and Internationally in London, UK, Edinburgh, Scotland and Madrid, Spain. Her body of work spans more than 30 years and is included in numerous public and private collections globally.

Her paintings explore everyday observations with an abstracted view. They consist of vibrant colors, layering and texture.
